Artist-Run Europe is part how-to resource, part history, and part socio-political critique of the conditions, organisational models, and role of artist-led practice within contemporary art and society. An ongoing research and publishing project with multiple contributors, iterations and intended outcomes, it includes case studies of spaces and projects, essay texts, and a searchable, expandable and updatable index of artist-run spaces from across Europe.
