Snails is a non-profit association that runs a working community for artists in central Oslo. It was founded in 2024 by artists Anna Clawson, Doris Guo, Nora Joung, Kaja Krakowian, Mathew Lacosse, Mariusz Maslanka, & Nicole Ward. They are joined by fellow Snails studio-holders: Ina Hagen, Martin Aagaard Hansen, Miriam Hansen, Elise Macmillan, Mickael Marman, Jonatan Nilsson, Nikhil Vettukattil, & Agatha Wara.
Funding:
Self-funded - we each pay for our own artist studios within Snails. The space we use for exhibitions/events (our project space) is the only bit of space we don't pay for.
