In 2015, artist-curator Alice Pedroletti founded ATRII® and its Open Archive and Collective and later, with curator Eugenio Martino Nesi, they founded ATRII® Cultural Association. ATRII is a collective nomadic research project focusing on the concept of the atrium as an existing space that marks out various types of architecture, concepts and theoretical discourses. The research outcomes are archived in the ATRII Open Archive, hosted inside the Cittadella degli Archivi (the official Archive of the City of Milan), one of Europe’s most extensive central archive facilities.
Funding:
ATRII is a self-funded project, or it receives funds from educational projects that directly pay the artists involved. The Institutions we work with support us with logistics or studio-housing spaces.
